What is a Comprehensive Diabetes test?
Our comprehensive diabetes test measures blood sugar levels to identify whether you may have damaged kidneys or are at risk of diabetes. This is an advanced test which also includes a microalbumin test, used to detect very small levels of albumin (a blood protein) in urine. Albumin is one of the first proteins to leak when your kidneys become damaged.

How can diabetes be tested?

Within two working days of your sample's arrival at our accredited laboratory, your results will be available to view in your secure patient area on our website. What should I do if my test reveals I have raised blood glucose levels?
If your test results show that you have raised blood glucose levels and are at the stage described as pre-diabetic, you should see a doctor immediately. Medication can be prescribed to you, and further testing may be recommended to ensure the success of treatment. If you make certain lifestyle changes, it is possible to lower blood sugar levels.
