The Better2Know Platinum and Early Platinum Screens for STIs and STDs are our most comprehensive screens.
Both screens look for the same STIs. The Early Platinum Screen uses a different testing method for some of the tests. This means it can look for the presence of HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C earlier (sooner after potential exposure).

What does the Platinum Screen test for?

What samples are needed?
The screen needs a blood and urine sample. There are no painful or embarrassing swabs required. There are no fasting requirements, but please make sure that you can produce a urine sample during your appointment.
How will I get results?
Your results will be uploaded into your online Patient Area as soon as they become available. You can access this secure area at any time using your unique identification number. We can also contact you by phone, email or SMS when your results are ready. Please let our team know your preferred method when you make your booking.
What if I test positive?
Do not worry. We are here to help you. We have a panel of doctors who are experts in Sexual Health who can help you. Our Patient Services team is available at evenings and weekends to help you with answers to your questions and to discuss options available to you.
